B&S has always been involved in international wholesale activities. With its success in this area, the transition to retail activities, particularly in the travel industry, was the next strategically logical step.
In the Netherlands’ second biggest airport in Eindhoven,B&S Paul Global operates the Shop&Fly retail outlet (www.shopfly.nl). This business unit also runs a duty-free shop in the JFC HQ NATO military base in the south of the Netherlands, called B&S CENTRAL STORE (www.bs-centralstore.com). Joining them in retail sales is B&S Köpcke Global, which operates Central Store PX shops for soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Here, our shoppers can enjoy the same luxury shopping as in any other duty-free shop. These shops have been consistently rated the best PX shops in the country.
In addition to our own retail shops, we also work with retail clients. These clients are active in airport shops, diplomatic shops and border shops. They also operate on cruise vessels and airlines. We provide them with advice and marketing support and help them with retail design, advertisements and promotional activities. Of course, we take into account local market conditions and the latest retail trends. Our help boosts sales and adds a professional touch to the overall look of the shops
B&S coordinated the development of a large shopping area at the new Beijing Airport. Just before the Olympic Games in 2008, we successfully launched over 20 luxury shops in the domestic retail area. With full licensing from the Chinese government, we brought in A-brand clients and helped them design, develop and promote their shops. Our great success there has led to our involvement in a similar project at Shanghai Airport.
